Drought Management Task Force Meeting: The MA Drought Management Task Force will be meeting on Tuesday, May 9th at 10 AM at 100 Cambridge Street, 2nd Floor, Boston, MA. I have had a few people ask me if these meetings are open to the public and they are. I encourage you to attend if you are interested in the state’s drought deliberation process. Rain Conservation & Harvesting – Thursday, May 11, 5:30-6:15 pm, Barnstable
The Great American Rain Barrel Company will make a presentation on how we can help our environment by collecting and recycling rainwater by using rain barrels. Suzanne will talk about where our water comes from, why water conservation is so important, how to install a rain barrel and ways to maximize collection. The talk is being held at the Cape Wildlife Center, 4011 Main Street, Barnstable. Free for BLT members; $5 for non-members. for more information

Boston Flower and Garden Show March 22-26 Seaport World Trade Center Boston. ‘Superheroes of the Garden’. Mass Masters Gardeners Assn plans to showcase ‘Gardeners and their Tools’ as our superheroes of the garden. Look for our rain barrel in the MMGA booth. The exhibit will focus on educating and engaging the public about smart watering techniques, water conservation, and best gardening practices. And the Great American Rain Barrel will be raffled off.
