Use A Rain Barrel.
In conjunction with Salt Lake City Public Utilities (SLCDPU) 2025 Water Conservation plan and to encourage the continued wise use of water, an important limited resource; SLCDPU is offering rain barrels to residents within the Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities service area. Rain barrels capture water from your roof, and allow you to use that stored water on lawns, landscapes or outdoor flower pots. It’s a simple conservation effort, that can help relieve demand for public water, and help the city keep on track with long and short term water needs.
