Danvers

As of early March 2026, Massachusetts is facing worsened drought conditions, with the Central and Northeast regions upgraded to a Level 3-Critical Drought due to low groundwater, despite heavy February snowfall. The Connecticut River Valley is at Level 2-Significant Drought, while the rest of the state is at Level 1-Mild. Critical Zones (Level 3): Central and Northeast Massachusetts are in critical drought, characterized by low streamflow and low reservoir levels.

To help manage water resources, Danvers is offering residents discounted rain barrels in partnership with The Great American Rain Barrel Company (TGARB).  This year represents the third year of offering the community rain barrel program in partnership with TGARB.

 Town of Danvers Rebate Details:

  • Up to two barrels per household rebated covering cost of barrels only (excluding tax and accessories).
  • Payment required upfront, rebate check redeemed at distribution event on Sunday, May 3rd .
  • Bring a government-issued photo ID with Danvers address to pickup event.
  • Enter coupon DAN26 at checkout (for tracking; pay upfront, rebate at pickup). Deadline for ordering is April 12th.
  • Non-residents are not eligible as the pickup event is for residents only.

  • Click on pictures below to access products that are on special for your community
  • Billing address must be consistent with address of credit card that you are using
  • Buyers are committing to pick up at the distribution time and location listed above.
  • Before you begin make sure that your cart is empty
  • To add a painted barrel to your cart you must select color; same for diverter size.
  • To add additional products from your cart use the ‘continue shopping tab’. You must be on the Community Program  page to access discounted pricing for your town (not the SHOP tab)
  • Danvers will rebate  residents the value of the  off the first two  barrels purchased at the time of pickup.  Enter the coupon DAN26 in the coupon field when checking out – only if you are a DANVERS  resident.
  • All barrels come with spigot , plugs, screen, lid overflow valves and flex tube. The only additional accessories are the Diverter and the Polished River Stones.
  • All customer inquiry must be emailed to info@tgarb.com. A customer service agent will respond.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Barrels ship with spigot, plugs, screen, lid overflow valves, flex tube and instructions inside the barrel. The only additional accessories you may want to consider are the Diverter and the Polished River Stones.

  • You install the spigot into the barrel so you do not need to indicate which port you intend to use.

  • Barrels slide easily into the back seat of a 4 door sedan, two barrels or more  fit into most hatchbacks and SUVS. Barrels do not fit in a car trunk.
